Richard “Dick” Leman age 95 of Prosser, WA passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 in Prosser. Dick was born June 13, 1929 in Mishawaka, Indiana the son of Lester and Ruth (Warncutt) Leman. He had 2 brothers, Doug and Dan.
Dick married his high school sweetheart Sheila Smith in 1949.
Dick spent 3 years in the Navy on a gunner ship, farmed for 6 years in Hanna Indiana and then decided to go to nursing school in Chicago, IL. He moved to St. Petersburg, FL. to begin his nursing career at Bay Pines Veterans Hospital. Dick decided to go back to school for his CNRA and began his practice in Sunnyside, WA, where he was much loved. He returned and lived in Florida for 20 years with his Bremen Family.
Dick is survived by 5 children Michelle Newhouse (Steve), Chris Leman (Debora), Kathy Hutchinson (Bob), David Leman and Anna Kellogg. He is also survived by many grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Sheila in August 2023, parents Lester and Ruth Leman, son Richard “Rick” Jr, brother Dan Leman, Grandson Alex Newhouse, son-in-law Scott Kellogg and daughter-in-law Joni Leman
