Rudolpho "Rudy" Samaniego

Rudolpho “Rudy” Hill Samaniego, age 59, of Sunnyside, WA passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Seattle, WA.  Rudy was born on July 26, 1960 in Uvalde, Texas the son of Johnnie (Hill) and Francisco B. Samaniego.  Rudy received his education in Sunnyside, WA. Following his education Rudy served the United States Army. Most of his working career was in construction in the Seattle area.  He loved being around his family, barbeques,  watching the Dallas Cowboys and cheer leaders.

Rudy is survived by three children, Francisco R. Samaniego, WA, Rogelio Borrego (Noemi), Anejho Samaniego all of Sunnyside, WA.  Grandchildren, Lexani, Isaias, De’Andre, Marie, Victoria, Damon, Jessica, Roy, Kasandra, Natalie and Zoy.  He is also survived by his mother, Johnnie H. Samaniego of  Sunnyside, WA.  Brothers, Benancio Garcia, Francisco Garcia, Gilbert Samaniego, Jeremiah Samaniego (Evelyn) all of Sunnyside, WA.  Sisters, Linda Rodriguez, Josie Gonzalez, Sylvia Cerda (Jose), Mary Cantu, Johnnie Navarro all of Sunnyside, WA.  Numerous aunt, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Rudy is preceded in death by his father, Francisco Samaniego, brother Armando Samaniego, nephew Julian “Mikey” Almaguer. Aunt, Dora Salinas.  

Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside.  Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA with burial to follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.  Those wishing to sign Rudy’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com
