Sally Jorja Naught/Chamberlin was born April 4, 1946, in Los Angeles, California to parents Kenneth A. Summers and Sydney E. Summers. She grew up in Lodi, California and graduated from Lodi High School in 1964.
Sally enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, a spiritual advisor to many, participating in the martial arts (meeting and studying under Chuck Norris), modeling, earning a pilot’s license and had a strong interest in spiritual awareness in her earlier years that she carried forward to all she knew. Sally raised her three children in California until her departure to Washington State in 1977.
Sally moved her children to Goldendale, WA, with her sister and mother, where she made her place home between Rock Creek and Bickleton WA for several years. She met her 1st husband, Clinton Naught who she shared 34 years with and built up her Real Estate career. She went on to earn a Real Estate License, PHD in Metaphysics, was deemed an Ordained Minister and created her own company as a Broker in Real Estate. After the loss of her first husband, fate would have it to bring her together through a shared cup of coffee with her new neighbor and soon to be second (widowed) husband, Mike Chamberlin. They shared a loving 4 years bringing three families together.
Sally is survived by her husband Mike Chamberlin, Brother John Summers, Cousins Christopher and Jeffrey DeVore and Leslie Morgan, Son Shawn DeVore, two daughters Lisa (Slemp) Robles and Lora Robles, stepchildren Cory and Selena Naught and many grandchildren and great grandchildren: Adrienne DeVore, Olivia and Cheyenne Slemp, Zoey Kuder, Kain Warner, Addison and Sadie Haynes, Tabitha Naught, Calvin and Anthony Naught, Dawson Naught and Zane Allen Lucas.
Sally was preceded in death by her Grandparents Bert and Lora DeVore, Mother Sydney E. Summers, Father Kenneth Summers, Uncles Hugh and Tom DeVore, Brother Joe Summers and Sister Janette Summers.
Sally's life was filled with many interests and surrounded by a lot of love and family. She kept everybody together and hosted several Holidays through the years, making known that wherever her home was, was her family's home. She loved gardening, she loved music (singing and playing the piano), she was an avid reader on several subjects, cooked and canned, married many as an ordained Minister, loved yard and board games with family, and always welcomed and helped others, as well as, donating to many charities throughout the years.
Sally had a wisdom, humor and charm about her that was magical, infectious and guiding to many through her years and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Bickleton Grange Hall, in Bickleton, Washington from 12–3p.m. In lieu of flowers those wishing to send a donation can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Sally Chamberlin’s Name.
