Scott Galbraith Obituary

Scott Galbraith passed away on August 2, 2024 surrounded by his family. Scott was born in Sunnyside, WA to Donald and Betty Galbraith on April 18, 1962. He was the youngest of four and was raised in the Lower Valley. He graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1980.

Scott married Dianna on June 23, 1984 and shared 37 years before Dianna passed away in early 2022. They spent their early married years in Mesa, Arizona before moving back to Sunnyside to be closer to family and start a family of their own.

Scott was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Scott was a hard worker and was able to get his kids and grandkids into golf.

Scott had a unique sense of humor and liked to joke and play tricks on family and friends. He also cared deeply for his grandkids so much that he was able to turn walnuts into magic walnuts that grew into lollipops overnight.

He is survived by his children Hannah Galbraith (Jaime) of Yakima and Dustin Galbraith of Yakima, four grandchildren Andrea, Jazlynn, Jayden, and Skyla. His sister Lesleigh Jacobs (Gary) of Moxee. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Shelleigh (Galbraith) Nelson.

Scott’s daughter would like to thank Scott Davis, Darin Davis, and Noe Atkinson for all the help they provided. She would also like to thank Prosser Specialist Clinic, Sunnyside Hospital and the staff at Cottage in the Meadow.

As his request, celebration of life will be held at a later date. Scott was passionate about golf so in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Washington State Junior Golf Association.
