Stella Nunez Duran

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend Stella Nunez Duran, age 101 went to be in the arms of her Savior on Monday, August 17, 2020 surround by her loving family.  Stella was born on November 29, 1918 in Pueblo, CO the daughter of Elvira (Coca) and Librado Nunez.  On September 16, 1939 she married the love of her life Elias V. Duran in Pueblo, CO.  Stella loved and served her Lord daily with praise and prayer for God, herself and her family. Her life was devoted to her family and she enjoyed every occasion the family could be together. While living in Grandview she would attend the Grandview Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Stella is survived by children, Eugene Duran of Pasco, WA, Richard Duran of Richland, WA, Rudy Arellano (Betty) Olympia, WA, Gloria Realme (Manuel) Quincy, WA, Ernie Duran (Elena) Prosser, WA, Dorothy Duran (Norm) Kelso, WA, Patricia Miner (Bill) of Cheney, WA. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents Elvira and Librado Nunez, husband Elias V. Duran, baby son Daniel Duran and grandson Brian Arellano.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA. Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Aug. 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grandview Cemetery.  Those wishing to sign Stella's online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
