Stephen Stredwick Obituary

Steve Stredwick, 76, passed away on October 11, 2021. He was born July 9, 1945 (6th of 12 children) in Pasco, WA, son of Mildred Christine (Gestner) and Joe Stredwick. Steve graduated from Pasco High School with the Class of 1963. Following his graduation and as a teenager he grew up working with his dad and brothers at the family-owned gas station in Eltopia, WA. Steve served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. Steve also owned Sun Rain irrigation in Pasco before moving on to manage farm equipment stores owned by Central Machinery Sales where he retired in 2014. Steve loved camping with family and friends. He was a car enthusiast and owned many throughout his life. He enjoyed wintering in Yuma, AZ where he made many new friendships.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe, Bob and Dennis. Steve is survived by his wife Shirley Stredwick. Daughter Essence Seufert (Devin), stepson John Schwab (Connie), Tony Schwab (Tina), six grandchildren and one great grandson. Steve is also survived by brothers Willie (Martha), Doug (Alice), Gary (Mercedes), Don (Susan), sisters Mary Lou Russell (Doug), Sharon Olson (Omer), Deb Stiens (Tim) and Diana Seuell (Alan).

Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA with a graveside service to follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.  Those wishing to sign  Steve’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
