Taurino Corona Obituary

Taurino Rodriguez Corona passed away on January 24th, 2025 in Prosser, WA, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Taurino was born on October 9th, 1941 to Antonio Corona and Eladia Rodriguez in La Presa del Aguacate, Cueramaro, Gto., Mexico. In 1977, he migrated to Sunnyside, WA to make a better life for his family. Taurino was a loving Husband to his Wife of 60 years, Victoria, a loving Father to his to 10 children and a loving grandfather to his numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Taurino was a hard worker, working in numerous fields across Washington State before finding his Career at Seneca Foods in 1991 and retiring in 2013. His hard work and dedication was instilled amongst his children. When he was not at work, he could be found working around his home, specifically tending to his garden and creating new landscaping projects in his front and back yards. He also enjoyed spending time with his longtime companion in his Dog, Chespi.

Taurino is Survived by his wife Victoria, Children: Vicente (Felipa), Jose Alfredo (Lupita), Fabio David, Antonio, Jose Doroteo (Nely), Reyna (Frank), Luz Maria (Carlos), Daniel (Sunny) and Silvia and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding Taurino in death are his parents Antonio Corona and Eladia Rodriguez and his infant son Guillermo.

Our family would like to give thanks to the Staff at The Orchards at Grandview and the Staff at Prosser Memorial Hospital. They provided care during his last days to make him comfortable. 

Viewing and Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA.  Mas of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sunnyside, WA.   Burial to follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, WA.  Those wishing to sign Taurino's online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com   Smith Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
