Vivian Lucile Brown

Vivian Lucile (Kromminga) Brown of Grandview, Washington passed away June 2, 2018 at The Hospice House in Kennewick, Washington after a brief illness. She was born to William and Lucile (Tjarks) Kromminga on November 19, 1927 in Iowa Falls, Iowa. On October 30, 1946 Vivian married Henry Richard Brown Jr in Prosser, Washington. After retiring as a bookkeeper for City Lumber and Grandview Lumber she became “super grandma” to her grandchildren, involved in all their sports activities and accomplishments and raising calves. Vacations at Curlew Lake were an important part of her life enjoying the outdoor life, fishing and spoiling grandchildren and all her family which always included a dog.
Vivian is survived by her sons Steve (Jan) and Larry (Dolly) both of Grandview, Washington. Grandsons Chris (Kandice) of Hillsboro, Oregon, Chad (Lanei) of Lynnwood, Washington, Rob of Yakima. Washington, Jeff of Millcreek, Washington, and Jeremy (Melisa) of Lake Stevens, Washington. She also enjoyed seeing the growth of her family including her great-grandchildren Brandon, Kendra, Catie, Lia, Jillian and Austin. She is also survived by three brothers, Al, Virgil, and Dale Kromminga. Many who considered her Aunt Viv or Grandma Viv will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of almost 69 years in July of 2015, 1 sister Rose and 2 brothers Doug and Bill.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11:00am at Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, Washington.
