William "Bill" Zieske Obituary

William “Bill” Zieske, age 86, went to join his beloved wife Roberta on April 26th, 2024. He was born December 15, 1937 in Sidney, Montana and later moved to Grandview. After his service in the army, he and Roberta settled in Sunnyside where they raised their children Michelle and Mark. He was a patient, wonderful father who by example taught them to be strong, hardworking, loving adults.

Bill was known around town for his perfectly manicured yard and his white pickup with two pups hanging out the windows. He was an animal lover adopting many dogs, cats and even a llama over the years.

He and his bride of 55 years, loved to dance and would frequent many of the hot spots around the valley every Friday and Saturday night. They enjoyed having the family around the pool and hosting many family BBQ’s and games of cribbage. He loved to share a “snortsky” and a chat with any family member old enough.

Bill was an amazing Grandpa who will always be adored by his grandkids and great grandkids. They each have many special memories with him, and memories of him sharing his “special” tea with them. Everything with Grandpa was special.

He is survived by his son Mark Zieske, daughter-in-law Mara, grandchildren Samantha Taylor, Tim and Jenna Taylor, Hunter Zieske, and Alex Zieske. Great grandchildren Dante, William and Waylon Taylor and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta, daughter Michelle Taylor, and parents Clarence and Catherine Zieske.

At Bill's request no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Methodist Preschool, 906 East Edison Avenue, Sunnyside, WA 98944.
