Wilma Tabor Obituary

Wilma Tabor, 84, of Pasco, Washington peacefully passed away on October 10, 2024.

Preceded in joining the Lord: Parents, Frank & Grace (Mc Daniels) Thomas, Husband Doug Tabor, Brother Donnie Thomas (Linda), children David Schiefelbein and Denise Page.

Wilma is survived by her sister Beverly Thomas, children Arnold Schiefelbein (Glenda) (d.), Larry Schiefelbein (Laura), Steve Schiefelbein (Julie), Daughter-in-law Marie Schiefelbein and grandchildren Austin Schiefelbein (Katie), Stacey Schiefelbein, Sheryl McElfish (Blaine), and Matthew Schiefelbein and Great grandchildren Ryleigh, Jax, Finn, Allistair, Emmalyn, and Bruce.

Wilma was born in Sunnyside, WA on August 9th, 1940.

Wilma attended Sunnyside High School and graduated in 1958.

Wilma was married to Arnold Schiefelebein (d.) and made her home in Prosser, WA. Five children came from this union.

Wilma married the love of her life, Doug Tabor in 1980 and they made their home on an acreage in Pasco, WA.

Wilma worked cutting asparagus with her parents and brother in the summers as a teenager near Sunnyside, WA. She retired as a full time facility medical records clerk after 30 years of service and continued as a part time medical clerk for private practice before retiring full time.

Wilma was a respected member of the community, known for her kind heart and generous spirit. Wilma loved listening to country music. Her kids remember her playing Johnny Cash and Charlie Pride on the record player on the farm when they were growing up.

She was an avid fisherman like her father Frank and spent many hours on water with her husband Doug on their fishing boat “Lucky 21”. She enjoyed spending time outdoors on weekends traveling and hunting with Doug.

Her warm smile and gentle nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace, forever remembered for the love and joy she brought to those around her.

Viewing and Visitation will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00pm at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA. A Graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.
