Dale Poe, age 76, longtime Prosser resident passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015 in Richland, WA.  Dale was born on August 17, 1938 in Sunnyside, WA the son of John D and Margaret (Petersen) Poe and following the death of his father was raised by Floyd Hazzard Sr.

He graduated from Sunnyside High School with the Class of 1956. Following high school Dale with his brother, Buster served in the Army Reserves. Dale married Cecelia Steinbock and they had four children that were his world. For many years Dale worked for Hall Chevrolet as a car salesman and later became the sales manager. He often relied on the fixit skills of his two sons in law Jeff Clifford and Gary Baker. He was a member of the Prosser Jaycee. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and was an avid Mariner and Seahawk fan. Dale maintained a positive attitude about life and was thankful for all the good things that came his way. We would like to thank Sun Terrace for giving dad some of the best years of his life and Richland Life Care for the special care that dad received. Thank you Alma for all the love you gave our father as a care provider. You were an angel sent from heaven.

Dale is survived by four children Troy (Cindy) Poe of Yakima, WA, Marilyn (Jeff) Clifford of The Dallas, OR, John (Neomi) Poe of Visalia, CA and Rhonda (Jason Ford) Baker of Richland, WA, twelve grandchildren; Brad Austin, Brian Clifford, Katie Adpressa, Martin Clifford, Trent Clifford, Andy Clifford, CC Pleake, Jessica McConnell, Abby Poe, Curtis Baker, Chase Baker & Camden Baker and eleven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Robert Hazzard (Shirley) of Granger, WA, Tom Hazzard (Coleen) of Sunnyside, WA and Marjorie Thrift (Jim) of East Wenatchee, WA., two sisters in law, Bobbie Hazzard and Jackie Poe, two brothers in law, Lyle Anderson and Don Smith, one aunt Helen (Joe) Snyder, former wife Cecelia Poe, long time friend Gloria Martinez and special friend Eddie Prince. He is preceded in death by his parents, John D. Poe, Margaret (Petersen) Poe-Hazzard and Floyd Hazzard Sr.  Four brothers, Walter “Buster” Poe, Jack Hazzard, Floyd Hazzard Jr. and Eugene “Gene” Hazzard, sisters Patricia Anderson, Phyllis Smith and Mary Yahn, brother in law, Clyde Yahn and sister in law, Carolina Hazzard.
