Marjorie R. Cornett

Marjorie R. Cornett, age 90, of Sunnyside, WA passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 in Sunnyside, WA.  Marjorie was born on September 27, 1925 in Long Pine, Nebraska the daughter of Robert and Lettie (Medcalf) Owens. She received her education in Nebraska. Marjorie married Melvin Skinner in South Dakota. Following his death she met and married Donald McIntosh in Topeka, Kansas. She and Donald moved west to find work and raise a family.  Marjorie worked in vegetable warehouses’ for many years, Del Monte’s in Toppenish, WA and Stokley in Zillah. She also was employed at Cozy Corner Market for a number of years. Marjorie was a wonderful homemaker and loved horses in her early years. 

She is survived by one daughter, Virginia Ruark (Dennis) of Wieppe, Idaho, two sons Larry McIntosh (Linda) of Bridgeport, WA and Jerry McIntosh (Debbie) of Sunnyside, WA.  She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, one brother and two sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and four sisters.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside. WA. with burial will follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA.  Those wishing to sign Marjorie’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com
