I don't know what to say. She truly was an amazing teacher. I was one of her students at Wilson pacific in Seattle, I want to say 2003 or 2004. (I just graduated high school recently) I am sad to be reading this. Thank you for putting up with me when I was young.

Just thinking about Ophelia today as I was talking to a student she worked closely with. She taught with such compassion and therefore touched many young lives. Her wonderful smile and positive attitude will be missed by all.

We worked with Ofelia in Sunnyside. She was kind and gentle to her students and seemed to always have a smile and a positive attitude. She will be greatly missed by everyone she knew. We can be comforted that Ofelia is with her Lord and Savior and we will see her again in Heaven. Rest in Peace, Ofelia!!

I worked with Ofelia for many years throughout the Seattle School's preschool program and later made a special point to visit her classrooms whenever I had the opportunity. She was a gifted teacher and a kind, loving person. I considered her a friend and will miss her greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I am a teacher at Concord. I worked with Ophelia this past year. She was very patient, and kind with the students. She was a real advocate for them to get the services they needed. I am so sorry for your family's loss. We all lost the day she left this world. I will miss her positivity and bright spirt. My condolences go to everyone in Ofelia's family. Ofelia was a wonderful person. We worked together at Concord. I was lucky everyday for a year to sit directly across from her. There was always a smile that greated me each day. She had so many wonderful stories about her family. I could see the love beam out of her. God is blessed to have her in his arms!

I had the honor of working with Ofelia at Concord Elementary in Seattle. I always noticed her kindness and professionalism. I never heard her speak an unkind word or negative statement about anyone or anything. She was wonderful with her students--soft spoken and caring. The students and staff loved her and will greatly miss her.

My heart goes out to Ofelia's family at this time of grief. I was honored to work with Ofelia while she taught at Roxhill Elementary in Seattle. She was a brilliant and gifted teacher who filled her classroom with compassion and devotion to her students and families. She had a profound impact on the lives of so many. She will be deeply missed.
