Ricky,
I am finally coming to terms with the fact that you are gone. Last time we talked, you mentioned you hadn't been feeling well but didn't go into detail. I will never forget the first time we met in 3rd grade when you first moved to Sunnyside and stopping by your house every morning to walk to school. That began a friendship and brotherhood that spanned all the years since... From witnessing first hand all the bands and music you produced and visiting all the places you lived in LA there are too many memories and good times to count. A part of you will live on in my heart as well as in my home. I still have the Ficus Tree in my living room that came from your plant store, The Garden of Eden, in Sunnyside in 1975 (now 8' tall). Now I cannot help but think about you every time I look at it...May it live on many years to come...Rest in the peace you have earned..May your family and loved ones find comfort in your well lived life and the fact that now you can be closer to them and with them in ways unimaginable. Farewell until we meet again on the other side my friend and brother. With love always , Randy

Unconventional, unique, talented & witty - Rick was one-of-a kind. Condolences to his family. I hope you know how many admired and adored Rick. Sad that this truly likeable, good human being has left this earth, but comforted to know he is in a far better place with our Lord. Tell we meet again on the other side, enjoy your gig in heaven Ricky.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28, 29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

Rick was always a positive, life -of-the-party kind of guy. Until you got him alone. Then he was a positive, sensitive, caring, accepting friend. May his music live on. May he Rest in Peace.

Rick,
I loved you, brother. From the time we met in sixth grade and we were both in the middle of the stuff, to the struggles to get free, and to always rising up when no one thought we could, past our mistakes, and never giving up. We always connected. You will be missed by me and so many. I'm saying a prayer and asking that you hear how much you were loved and cared about. And, a prayer to your family that your memory will soothe their grieving. Rest in peace my friend.
Scott
