Ruben Balli Jr.

Ruben Balli, Jr., age 42, of Mabton, Wa, went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on April 29, 2016, in Yakima, Wa.

Ruben was born December 28, 1973, in Reynosa, Mexico to Ruben Sr. and Antelina (Rojas) Balli.  He and his family resided in Mabton where he attended school. During his high school years, he was involved in sports, including football and wrestling until he was wheelchair bound; resulting from a tragic automobile accident.  He later graduated from Sunnyside High school in 1995. Ruben loved watching his favorite teams, “Dallas Cowboys” (NFL), “Boston Red Socks” & “Atlanta Braves” (MBL) play on TV. He also, enjoyed watching “WWE”, Christian shows and game shows. He loved playing bingo with his family and going out on lunch & dinner dates. He always drank either “Mountain Dew or Vanilla Coke, his two favorite sodas.

Ruben was a baptized Christian who loved to read his Bible and attended church as often as possible. He enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones; especially his nieces and nephews. He was fun, loving and a jokester; always playing pranks on his siblings. He was very passionate in anything he applied himself to. He had a heart of gold and his beautiful smile would light up the town. He will be deeply missed by his family and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Ruben is survived by his mother, Antelina Balli; two brothers, Michael (Angie) Balli and Alex (Valerie) Balli and two sisters; Maira and Yadira Balli. Also, nephews; James, Damian, “Ruben” Zackery, and D’Aundre and nieces; Citlalli, Mariah, Alize and Natalie.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Balli,Sr. and a sister, Nancy Balli.

 Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from Noon until 8:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA.  Funeral Service will be on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Sunnyside, WA with burial to follow at Mabton Cemetery Mabton, WA.
