Darlene and family,
Difficult to believe that a man so full of life was so suddenly taken away from us. Verlyn was a man committed to his Lord and Savior. He used his leadership and "people" skills well in his work with SCR Church Council and the Evangelica Committee. Our prayers are with you and may God bless you as you celebrate his life, mourn his passing from this life, and allow his joining God's promised heavenly rest.

I remember Verlyn and my brothers playing on the hay and silage pile and in the haymow as kids. He had a kindness and warm smile as a child that stayed with him his entire life!

Verlyn was a great friend while growing up. I remember playing pitch on the long bus rides, chasing jack rabbits after youth group, riding up and down the streets of Colton, which was what everyone did in the 60's, and playing football on Sunday afternoons.
I cherish my memories of Verlyn and wish of offer condolences to the family. He was taken much too soon, and my heart goes out to those who had unfulfilled plans, wishes, hugs, and fellowship.
