I live outside Soap Lake now so my Yakima Herald comes to me late. I am so very sorry to hear of Pete's death. He graduated with my husband Boyd. His mother Mabel was a very dear friend. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. With love.

I first met Pete back in the late 40's when his mother was my scout master. They lived directly across the street from Denny Blain elem. school. Pete was always very good to all of us. He was truly a gentle giant. My condolences.

Doug and I first met Pete at Buntings there in Sunnyside where Doug took a job out of town. It was the 80's and jobs scarce. Pete befriended Doug and he made it so much easier for Doug to work a week at a time away from his young Family. Over the years they kept in touch and enjoyed each others company when time permitted. Pete often traveled thru the gorge with his mother and they would have dinner at Moms favorite Diner "cousins". We would also get together at some of the car shows. Pete was a true Family man his son accompanied on these outings as ours often did. He was a good person and we will truly miss him. May God hold all of you gently in his arms while we mourn our loss of Pete.

I will always think of him as "My Pete". Mostly because he accepted and always cared for those who cared for him. Obstinate to the last, wanting his care his way---But held my hand for a safe place for him at the time he needed someone there. Will always love you My Pete -- Enjoy those Blue Skies and say hello to Mabel from me.

"Gentle Giant" and friendly Pete. That's how I remember Pete from school and later as the radiator man. My husband would not let anyone touch our radiators even if it meant a trip over the Pass to get to Pete. Honest and he knew what he was doing! A true friend.

I was sorry to learn of Pete's death. I remember him from church and Luther League trips. He was several years older, but they let us younger ones do all those things with the older kids. That's a really nice picture of Pete. I like it. You are all in my prayers. Barb
