I first met Wayne working at the State Patrol in Kennewick in 1982. He was a radio communications supervisor and I was just starting out as a Weight Control Officer at the weigh stations. He later transferred to the now Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division. He was a great friend and always fun to be around. Always ready and willing to help wherever needed. If you needed to talk to someone about a problem he was willing to listen and offer encouragement. I had not seen him since retirement and really did miss him. I am saddened by his loss at such a young age.
My condolences to the family. I will pray for the family in the coming days. May the peace of Christ be with the entire family at this time. When my time comes I will look forward to seeing Wayne again.

I remember Wayne working in radio at the WSP office in Kennewick. I arrived there as a cadet in weight control in 1973. It was always good to listen to Wayne and his funny stories. He will be surely missed. Our prayers go out to his family. He was a fine man.

While working in the local Harley store some years back, my day would light up when I saw Wayne pull in. I always wished when he was there that I could spend more time visiting with him, because, like the obituary says, he would make me feel like his favorite person, make me laugh, and feel loved by a "brother." He was true in every sense of the word. Just over a month ago, we bumped in to each other at My Froyo and it was so good to see him. Again, he lifted my spirits as we shared our cancer stories together. A marvelous and wonderful, man. I wish I could hear his voice and hear him laugh, just one more time so I could tell him thank you and what he meant to me. Goodbye my friend. Ride on, ride on.

Ooh, Pam...Brian...all the family, I was so sad to learn of Wayne's passing. Breaks my heart. It was so good to see him and talk to him when our Mom's were both at Prestige. And of course loving and knowing this whole family for 40+ years, I always thought a lot of Wayne and always enjoyed talking to him. I love you all and you are all in my heart. Praying for God to cover each of you with His Love, Comfort & Peace.
With Love From Charlotte & I both.

Going to miss my uncle Wayne and our talks about our latest two wheeled acquisitions and adventures. I blame my motorcycle "addiction" on him. No one looked "cooler" on two wheels than Wayne.

When I was in grade school over 55 years ago my best little friend was Vicky Smith, and she had a cousin named Wayne Ruby. I can recall the smile on his face just like it was yesterday. He was older than we were, but he teased us both good-naturedly and was a very nice young man. He has popped into my mind off & on over the years and I've wondered what became of him. It appears that he grew into an equally nice man and had a wonderful life.

My Brother, you were one of a kind. I had a special connection with you so much that often we would be visiting and speak the thought at the same time. Granted, most of the time it would be funny because of our weird sense of humor. We went through things together that made us stronger brothers, and best friends. Give Mom and Dad a hug for me, and look for places we can hunt for agates together when I get there. You will always be the other Haseth Boy. Love you so, and hey, tell some angels to take a $10 out of petty cash, and that it's time to wake up and smell the tuna.
