To Dale's family,
We were so sorry to hear of Dale's passing. We have many fond memories of the "Tough Luck Guide Service", fishing on Susan Lake ("you broke my hook!") and at Vancouver Island. And of course there was the time he sawed through the basement sewer pipe in Winthrop and was surprised when s#^% came flying out(literally!). He always made us laugh. He enjoyed explaining his "theories" on just about everything and everyone in my family loved to hear about them. He and Eleanor always welcomed us. We will miss him greatly as there was no one like him.

So many memorial years teaching with Dale. We shared many projects and were especially gratified with the "Girls Shop" classes. They were definitely ahead of the time and were so memorable to many students at Granger High School. Dale had teaching talent and a great way of presenting his subject as well as a wonderful sense of humor and way of life.

Our friendship with Dale developed over the last 15 years or so because about 14 of us went to breakfast at a designated location where we all just talked and talked and then some more and just plain had fun. Over time our numbers dwindled to just three - Barbara, Jim and Dale. Eleanor's passing was extremely difficult because of our close connection as professional educators and because she and Barbara traveled together to meetings of DKG and PEO, and the friendship that developed was beautiful. Dale, being a Granger educator, had many stories to tell and never failed to carry a conversation to an end and then some. As Dale grew older and the complications that go along with ageing began to take hold, the number of breakfast visits diminished considerably. As was the case with Eleanor's passing we will miss Dale very much. Barbara and Jim still carry on the tradition of the Friday morning breakfast even though our numbers are only two. It is important that we continue with this for many beautiful reasons. Amen Dale, Amen

Dear Family,

I have very fond memories of Mr. Yockey as my wood shop teacher at Granger High School. He was always so well prepared and had a ton of patience and nuturing for his respective students. Between Mr. Yockey and Mr. Peterson, we were blessed to have 2 of the best vocational teachers around...under the same roof! My prayer is for god to comfort each of you during this difficult time. Memories are lasting and priceless. Mr. Yockey poured plenty of those memories on all of us to keep his legacy a lasting and meaningful one!

The Carpenter family.

Loren, Larry, Lorna and your families, I am so sorry to read this morning about your Dad. I feel blessed that I and my family were able to know him......he was a real character and it was fun when I would happen to be at my parents' and he would come by to play cards with Dad. I know that you all will miss him.
Love you all, Sandy
