Gene and my husband John (Johnny) Spurgeon were buddies stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. Johnny passed away May 12, 2018 from Lewy body dementia. In going through old cards and things, I ran across a letter he received from Gene in 1969. My sincerest condolences for your loss of last year.

As you try to comprehend this profound loss know that it is okay to grieve the loss of your dear loved one. For the true God in the heavens feel your pain. He knows your suffering and will help you cope with your grief. Job 10:1 says " I will speak out in my bitter distress". Have faith in God's promise written at Acts 24:15 which expresses the hope of seeing your dead loved ones again. It is comforting for us to know that God does not cause suffering and that one day it will end. -Revelation 21:3,4.

You taught me, not by saying it, but by living it every day, that love is a verb. Rest easy and I will see you soon, father-in-law ❤️

We did not have the pleasure of knowing you Mr. Gene Miller, but we know your amazing son Wayne Miller. If Wayne is anything like you which we are sure he is, then we know that you too were an amazing individual and will be greatly missed.

Our heart and prayers go out to the Miller Family, may the Lord grant all of you strength to carry on and fill your hearts with peace, knowing that your precious loved one lives on in his new home in heaven.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine the conversation Gene and Stan are having right now. He was always stopping by for the bs session and coffee with Stan and Dan Rosen. The kids adored him and thought he was hilarious. He always greeted you with a smile. He will be remembered.
