Evelyn Neiffer

Evelyn Neiffer age 102 of Sunnyside, WA passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 in Sunnyside, WA. Evelyn was born February 9, 1914 in Corsica, S.D. the daughter of Art and Marie (Vreugdenhil) Bergakker.  She received her education in Corsica S.D. and graduated from Corsica High School. On April 17, 1940 Evelyn married Aaron Neiffer in Caldwell, Idaho. In 1950 they moved to Sunnyside, WA where they made their home and raised their family.  Evelyn was a care giver, housewife and stay at home mother for many years. Evelyn loved sewing, crafting and spending time with her family. She attended Grace Brethren Church in Sunnyside, WA.

Evelyn is survived by four daughters; Donna Terrill (James) of Algona, WA, Linda Boren (Gerry) of Star. ID, Carol Gilbert (John) Hermiston, OR. and Betty Neiffer of Prosser, WA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two sisters Jennie Huber of Platte, S.D., Viola Teter of Boise, ID and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one grandson and three sisters.

Funeral Service will be held June 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, WA. with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside, WA. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Grace Brethren Church Sunnyside, WA.
