Genaro Tá El Ray Garza

Genaro Tá El Ray Garza, age 16 of Grandview, WA passed away March 17, 2015. He was receiving his education in Grandview and would have graduated with his class in 2016. Genaro was loved by all who knew him and had many friends throughout the Yakima Valley. He was a great athlete and loved to play basketball with all his friends at “Smith”. He enjoyed camping with family and being outdoors. Friends remember him being playful with animals, playing video games, listening to music and always needing to be active. Most of all he loved to be with his loving family and friends. He always had a huge smile on his face that would show the best side of him and don’t forget the dimples that will be a charm; he passed on to his daughter. Genaro cherished the time he spent with his loving soul mate, Esmeralda and their precious daughter Atenea.

He is survived by his soulmate Esmeralda Gonzalez of Grandview, WA, their daughter Atenea Reyna Gonzalez–Garza, his parents Genaro Garza Jr. and Nicole L. (Spigler) Garza and his brothers Luciano J. Cruz Garza and Neeko Rae Sanchez Garza and his grandparents Genaro Sr. and Irene Garza  of Grandview, WA and grandparents Ed and Lea Spigler of Yakima, WA.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 2:00PM – 8:00 PM with a recitation of the Holy Rosary Prayer Service at 6:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Grandview, WA. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene at 500 North Elm in Grandview, WA followed by burial at Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, WA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that “love gift” donations be made in Genaro’s name to Smith Funeral Homes, donations may be mailed to Smith Funeral Home, 528 South 8th Street, Sunnyside, WA. 98944 or  left at either Smith Funeral Home location, Sunnyside or Grandview or The Grandview Church of the Nazarene at the time of the service. Those wishing to sign Genaro’s online memorial book may do so at www.funeralhomesmith.com Smith Funeral Homes Ltd. in care of the family’s arrangements.
